VP Mnangagwa’s four top allies in Masvingo and Midlands provinces have been suspended by Zanu PF in continued onslaught to weaken him ahead of the Zanu PF December conference
In a continued onslaught by Mugabe to weaken his deputy, the Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa, yesterday Zanu PF suspended Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s four top allies in Masvingo and Midlands provinces .
The four suspended members are the Masvingo provincial chairman Ezra Chadzamira, the provincial youth league political commissar Brian Munyoro, the Midlands acting vice-chairman Godwin Shiri and the provincial youth secretary for administration Justice Mayor Wadyajena.
The four suspensions arose from various allegations including disrespecting the Zanu PF party leadership and fuelling divisions in Masvingo and Midlands provinces.
The Zanu PF National party national commissar Saviour Kasukuwere, ordered the four to relinquish their party duties with immediate effect in terms of section 79 of the (Zanu PF) constitution.
It is clearly Mugabe’s show of force as he prepares for Grace Mugabe’s rise to power as Zimbabwe’s next president. More news to follow. By Sibusiso Ngwenya
